Foretellix’s Webinar: Open M-SDL for scenario-based verification of ADAS & AVs

This webinar covers an overview of M-SDL's basic functionality, its enhancements since its initial release, as well as a demo. The webinar was held on April 30th, 2020

M-SDL (Measurable Scenario Description Language) is the first open language that addresses the multiple shortcomings of today’s formats, languages, methods and metrics used to verify and validate ADAS & autonomous vehicle safety.

Foretellix has opened M-SDL to the ADAS & AV ecosystem last September, and has also donated the language concepts to the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems (ASAM) standards committee.

Since then, over 500 engineers from 250 different entities have downloaded the M-SDL specification.

This 1.5-hour webinar provides both an introduction to the language, and covers the language developments since it’s initial release; Topics include:

  • An introduction to M-SDL, including a review of its contribution to ASAM OpenScenario 2.0 concepts
  • M-SDL basics, including concepts, features & capabilities
  • Application of M-SDL, including a  demo
  • M-SDL recent developments, including enhancements for more flexible actor definition, for easier checking, and more
  • Audience Q&A

The webinar is relevant to anyone with or without prior knowledge of M-SDL
